Join the Decision Analysis SIG at Cardiff University discussing the implementation of operational research decision support tools in NHS hospitals
This event will discuss the pathway to implementation of operational research decision support tools in NHS hospitals. Keynote talks will cover key aspects of the process: recognising the need for decision support within an NHS hospital, establishing a an interdisciplinary partnership to address the need, piloting a solution, and implementing it within a real-world operational setting.

About the Speakers
Edilson Fernandes de Arruda
Edilson Fernandes de Arruda is with the University of Southampton Business School. His expertise is in healthcare modelling and optimisation and he has led and participated in multiple collaborations with hospitals and healthcare institutes with the aim of improving care delivery and optimising the use of resources.
Dr. Mark Wright
Professor Mark Wright is an Honorary Professor at the University of Southampton and a leading Consultant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist at University Hospitals Southampton NHS Trust (UHS). He is In-patient flow lead UHS, and is passionate about improving the quality of care and patient outcomes.
Jennifer Morgan
Dr. Jennifer Morgan is the Operational Research & Modelling Development Manager at NHS Wales Performance and Improvement (Value Transformation – Data & Analytics. She has a PhD in Operational Research and has extensive expertise in simulation models.
